Non-fiction filmmaking is, for the most part, great fun. You get to travel to amazing places, meet fascinating people, have adventures you’d never otherwise experience—and, if you’re lucky, get paid for it.

But it’s not always quite that simple.

Things go wrong. Screw-ups will happen. Filming in extreme environments can be brutally tough. But sometimes the hardest days end up making the best stories.

This is a collection of stories from both sides of the experience—the good, bad and (sometimes) ugly adventures  that we've had.
